APC & Waiver Policy

Article Processing Charge (APC)

This journal charges the following author fees:

Article Submission: 0.00 (USD)
Authors are not required to pay for an article submission.

Article Processing Charge (APC): 500,000.00 (IDR) or 35.00 (USD)

The APC is charged only to authors when a submitted article is accepted and published in this journal. The APC is supposed to cover publication costs, including online tools for editors and authors, article production and journal website hosting, similarity checks with Turnitin and iThenticate (results will be sent to authors upon request), final article layout, article abstracting and indexing services, and customer services.

Upon editorial acceptance of an article, the corresponding author will be notified of the payment process. Payment is due within 15 days of the manuscript receiving editorial acceptance. We advise prompt payment, as we are unable to publish accepted articles until full payment has been received. We request that you evaluate your potential to obtain funding for the APC before submission, not after acceptance. Please note that the payment is non-refundable.

Waiver Policy

To help support researchers unable to meet some or all of the costs associated with publishing open access, IJCS offers the APC waiver. As a publisher, the Indonesian Scholar Society (ISS) understands that some institutions may have limited funding for their research activities. Thus, we have instituted a generous waiver system that may ease the payment of the manuscript handling fee when their researchers choose to publish their manuscripts in any of our journals. Our primary goal as stated in our mission is to accelerate the dissemination of knowledge through the publication of high-quality research articles. We continually pursue this goal, without putting undue financial burden on researchers or their institutions. Hence, we have instituted the following waiver policy:

Authors from Low-Income Countries may be granted up to 100% waiver.
Authors from Lower Middle-Income Countries may be granted up to 50% waiver.

To request a waiver, kindly send an application to [email protected] or [email protected]. The waiver application should contain the manuscript number and state the reason for requesting a waiver.
